Callie Rose, this was an absolute blast to read. It’s spicy, it’s engaging, and it is everything I want from a mafia romance novel. I read through this series in like 3 days. I absolutely demolished it.
I liked this book a little bit less than book 2, but not enough less to go down to 3 stars. I really loved the character development for Riley and her relationship with each of there men. I am a sucker for a strong FMC so I was a little disappointed that Riley still felt like a bit of a hinderance throughout this book rather than a bad ass all the time, but that is just me leaning into my fantasy favorite characters, I don’t think it really made a difference in the overall story.
The ending was a bit shocking because of the way Riley was still portrayed as a bit weak, but it was a nice way to wrap up her character overall and give her her own stake in the world. She finally had a “I belong here” moment, rather than just fitting into her mens lives.
Overall this series is definitely one I will recommend to others. THE SPICE WAS NICE!!
